Similar to North Witches Canyon Road, South Witches Canyon Road is a long steady climb from the Sidewinder/ Witches Canyon parking area to the Wagon Tracks. You'll climb to the northwest as you leave the parking lot. At 0.85 miles youll meet up with the old Loop B 2 track on the right. This connects you to North Witches Canyon Road. Stay left and ride to west.

At 0.95 miles the Capulin Loop singletrack drops to your left. You'll continue to climb a short distance further before topping out on a small ridge. Youll continue down the other side. At mile 1.20, the road into Witches Canyon will go down to your left. Continue straight up the hill. At mile 1.47 you'll come to a four-way intersection. The Wagon Tracks are to your right, North Witches Canyon Road to the left, and the road into the Penitente Canyon campground is straight ahead.
