Description
The flora here is is unique, and reflects the glacial history of the region and the vegetation is typical of the thin soil. Riders will pass gray and ericaceous Pin on caribou lichen background (Cladonia rangiferina) for parts of the year, and in May the foraison, the Quebec orchid (stemless lady's slipper) is in bloom. In June, multitudes of blue flag add color to the decor.
In July and August, tasty blueberries sprinkle the track by the thousand.
Le Crans is a ride most suitable for the advanced rider. A small ascent to begin pays off with a fast, rolling descent. This is the access trail for other advanced trails, such as La Boreale, La Chouape, and
Le Plateau, and is an excellent choice for advanced riders to make their way around the park.
