“Alternate access road for Capitol Peak Trail.”
— Eric Ashley
The Capitol State Forest is a multi-use trail network and an ongoing logging area. Expect traffic in both directions and yield to hikers and equestrian riders some trails are also open to motor vehicles. This is a large forest with many trails and roads. Cell service is poor and navigation can be difficult. Make sure your MTB Project mobile app
data is current.
Road C-4000 branches off of the C-Line Road
roughly 7 miles in. It is predominantly used as an alternate route to the Capitol Peak Trail
but also accesses the Twin Peaks Trail and North Divide Trail.
