Overview

Great singletrack trail that is a constant climb. Trail is fairly rocky but most rocks are easily avoided. Caution is needed as they do allow motorcross on the trail. There are restrooms at the trailhead as well as plenty of parking space.

Need to Know

A Northwest Forest Recreation Pass is required for parking.

Description

First section of the trail is smooth and starts out easy. About 1/4 mile into the trail the climb begins. There are some easy switchbacks to start the climb. The climb continues the entire trail at about a 5% grade. Early in the climb there are some larger rocks in the trail to navigate and periodic patches of rocks to skirt.

About half way up the climb there are great views of Lake Wenatchee. The trail remains shaded the entire climb. At the top the trail ends at a logging trail with 'No Trespassing' signs.

Great trail...did this as a loop starting out down the road from the main trailhead near the lake. Rode out to HWY 2 and up the grind to Round Mtn trail. Only 1.5 mile climb/hike-a-bike up to Nason ridge for a rad decent back down to car. Nov 11, 2015
