“Classic Walnut Creek roots and rocks with fun technical climbs on a curvy trail.”

Overview
Description
This trail will keep you focused with all of the tight corners, roots, and rocks. The trees can squeeze close to the trail so beware if you have wide bars! The Walnut Creek map will show this trail as intermediate and easy. There are quite a few intermediate sections that could pretty easily be classified as difficult whether going up or down this trail. The easy sections are mostly true to their rating. Although it is an easy section, the end near the blue wheel trail has some steep sections.
While descending from the park entrance, the tight corners of this trail can seem a little too tight and slow to make the trail exciting. About midway through there are some short but heavily rooted steep climbs and descents that require some good bike handling skills to ride through. If you can't ride it, it's no problem to walk these hills! It's still a great ride, and it's the direction I ride in most of the time.
Ascending from the lake end has plenty of sustained climbing with quite a few technical climbs to enjoy. There are still a few good downhills to enjoy and to help the sweat evaporate.
