Description

Nestled in the center of the Telegraph system with its flow trails, Horse Gulch is a steep and narrow challenge between Sidewinder to the north and South Rim Trail to the south.

Best ridden downhill, Horse Gulch has a long section of gentle valley punctuated with short steep bedrock or gravel hills.

The southern end gets exciting as the trail plunges the steep inclines of Mancos shale and similar shale-y substances.

Lots of loose, dirty sand. The crux is a very steep shaley section. Bedrock covered in talus debris is more slippery the more you brake! Grip and rip! 11.8mi
