Description

This trail is best done as a downhill from its high point at the junction with the Sunny Gulch trail. Both directions are great downhills. The first downhill from Sunny Gulch going north will take you by the Casino Lakes and then down Big Casino Creek. This downhill is very rugged and there are numerable root drops and big rocks to go over. It is very constant in technical challenge, so make sure to take plenty of stops to keep your skills up.

Heading south from the high point will take you by Martin Lakes. This way is not as steep but still fairly chunky. It is a ripping downhill and the rocks will keep you on your toes. Near the end of the trail, you'll enter a burn area. In the burn area, the trail gets a little looser so just be careful in the looser sections.

Trail here has a bit of a soft/sandy surface. Later it turns into one long hard packed rock garden as you gain elevation.
