An easy/intermediate trail with minimal obstacles through open prairie.

Adopt These Trails!

Description

This is a nice trail for people looking to get into mountain biking. Obstacles are minimal and there are a couple of decent hills to climb. Almost the entire trail is through open prairie so there is not much shade to be found. Watch out for horses, hikers, runners and dogs on this trail (bikes travel counter-clockwise).

Getting forecast...

Flat, beginner riding mostly through prairies. A good place for your very first ride off the pavement, or maybe to take the kids, or if you are out that way and desperate. Winter riding is available, although it is pretty uninspiring. Minooka, Alpha, Currie and Hoyt Parks are much better options, and for all but the western-most people will be closer. Oct 12, 2016
