Start from the Roundabout / Future Rd / Waterfall trail, or better yet, from the bottom of F.L.O. Trail.

This segment is relatively flat and rolling through cedar groves and big ferns.
For little kids and beginners, a great route is to roll down Future Rd. and take a right.
As the trail ends at Waterfall, the easy route is up and out the 2 remaining switchbacks.
For a real climb experience, drop down the remaining 400ft of the Waterfall trail and then grunt it back up.

For moderate exercise climb up Upper Basin and drop F.L.O. Trail for another lap.
