Overview

Description

Head up the road for a half mile, take the singletrack through the fence and begin your climb. Cross back over the road, and work your way back up to the next dirt road. Take the road to the top and enjoy the view, before following ATV trails for a quarter mile or so.

This section has a ton of ATV spurs all over the place. Stay closest to the ridge and follow the trail for about a quarter mile. You'll see a "no motorized vehicle" sign by a singletrack trailhead. Take off down this trail (known as Jackrabbit by the locals).

Jackrabbit will finish the majority of climbing on this loop. You'll have one road crossing before you end your climbing. From the top enjoy the banked corners as you switchback your way to the road again. From the road you'll turn left and head up to Deadwood trail.

Deadwood is an awesome downhill stretch that winds you through the burned areas along the hillside. The trail ends at the road. Take it back to the rock pile where it all started, or venture another lap!
