“This is a great tour of the park. Can be done in both directions. Keeps you off the fire road.
— MTB Project Staff
This route takes you to the top by use of the most singletrack possible. Clockwise is most fun. But make sure to try it both ways. The top down makes for a fast down hill. No very technical.
Need to Know
There are cows in the area. So be on the lookout. They do mess up the trails during the winter months.
Start out with a warm up on the figure eight then start your climb. There is nice tree shade in the beginning. Take your time. Then a small decent after a gate to the fire road. Once on the fire road take a shape left and head up some switchbacks. Then down to the fire road for a little ride on it. Then right into singletrack again and back up to the fire road to then get right off it again to the right. Then the famous Lombard Street switchbacks. After that, around to the backside of the peak and up to the top. Take some photos. Now a fun and fast downhill. A few steep sections and a small wooden banked turn and then into downhill switchbacks. Some flats to the fire road again. Left onto the road and a quick right brings you to a picnic area and through a ditch and then up to the water tanks on Hamburger Hill and down a steep section to the figure eight again and you are done.
