Climb the doubletrack, descend the singletrack... the aspens are spectacular in the fall.

Overview [Suggest Changes]

This is an awesome loop that climbs on relatively well-maintained doubletrack and descends buff singletrack.
Features: -none- [Add/Remove]

Description [Suggest Changes]

This is a great half-day loop for intermediate to advanced riders. Head south from Monte Vista on HWY 15 until it turns into the dirt road - dirt for two miles then turn left onto Rd FF. Bear left onto FR 250. Turn right onto FR 271 and follow until you reach the singletrack. It's hard to miss; at the prominent climbing switchback, look left. Ride the roads to the top, then link the singletrack sections back to the car.

Good climb. Lots of downed aspens on the ride down. Needs to be cleaned.

Rode as shown. Was fun. The descent down the creek makes me think it should be called Cow Creek. I was coated w/ cr@p by the end. Would do again.
