Update

This is a multi-segment MTB trail that runs along the Silver Comet, always on the left going west.

Overview

What makes this trail unique and worth riding? It is tough in some sections, real tough if you ask me. Some of the climbs are steep, rocky and full of roots. One thing that I like is that the Silver Comet paved trail is right next to the trail.

What makes it not so nice is what makes it nice: the segments... They can get somewhat annoying, break your rhythm and slow your work out. Don't think it's going to be a smooth ride... because it ain't!

Need to Know

Please note: The Silver Comet Side Trail (SCST) is always on the same side of the Silver Comet (SC). Going in this direction, it is always on the left.

Description

Watch the connected video for a full trail experience. This trail is most commonly ridden by starting at the Hiram Caboose Silver Comet trailhead and riding towards the city of Rockmart. When the end is reached (last segment starts at mile 23.6) most folks turn around and ride the paved Silver Comet back to the Hiram Caboose. Tough guys just turn around and ride it back... but not very many.
