Needs overview, photo, and a few more details in the description.
From the access point below the Lake Pleasant dam, start on the Maricopa Trail then progress to the well-marked Beardsley
Trail which meanders up to the lake over 4 miles. The trail is continuous and turns into the Pipeline trail and then turns into the Cottonwood
trail with a couple opportunities to take a side excursion on Yavapai Point trail to overlook the lake.
From the bottom of the trail near the Carefree Highway, the trail is intermediate with some climbing but with few obstacles. As the trail progresses to the Cottonwood
trail, the rocks get tricky and is probably more than a beginner could handle. The lower sections are "flowy" (for Arizona!) and it doesn't cost any $ to access the trail from the Carefree Highway, but if you go into Lake Pleasant park you'll have to pay $6 to get in.
