Description

This is a great stop off the freeway for a quick leg stretch or ride all weekend

This is the loop that gets things started for most locals, or either first timers or first time that day.

The Green Apple is a true beginner loop, thats not say it's not fun for everyone with a little pace. It also has a couple of rock gardens and couple of short steep section to challenge first timers.

These are shared trails so be a good neighbor - it's eastern Oregon, so smile and say "hi!"

Add this loop to Mera Loop #724 trail or any of the others in MERA.

15 minutes from the interstate. Green Apple has nice flow right from the trailhead. Lots more trail than shown on the map here.

Red Apple Loop Trail 700: Short, fun loop that provides primary access to all non-motorized MERA trails from Owsley Canyon Trailhead. Ride the interior loop to Red Apple Trail, the Parent Trap Trail, if you yearn for berms and jumps!!! • Technical Rating: Green, slightly to moderately technical. • Conditioning Rating: moderately strenuous. • Trail length and ascending and descending: 2.4 miles • Trail Attributes: Narrow to wide-singletrack, moderately fast, some embedded and trail-side rock, with several sustained ascents and descents, natural and manmade technical trail features. Dog friendly with water year round South Fork Conley Creek. • Highlights: Great short loop with too many side trails to list! Take the Rock Garden Loop Trail 710 @ intersection 12 {I-12} or I-15 for a technical challenge, or the Red Line Loop Trail ? to challenge your ascending and descending skills. • Access points and direction of travel: Trail starts and loops back to the Owsley Canyon Trailhead and is loads of fun ridden clockwise or counter clockwise. GREAT Signage--all major intersections have a unique numerical number that corresponds to the MERA MAP. Enjoy! Bart Barlow BMSTC Mar 25, 2018
Nice little warm up loop. My ten year old daughters favorite, although has a little punchy climb here and there she needs to push. May 7, 2018
