Description

The Skyline trail is the premiere trail in the Snowshoe Bike Park featuring a seemingly endless supply of big berms, rollers and tabletop jumps.

The route starts at the top of the Western Territories lift on the left side. Descend through a pocket of trees past the start of 10 Gallon and around to the trail intersection with a big wooden road gap feature. Watch for advanced riders crossing from your right.

Continue straight here and then rail a few more bermed turns before a long and fast section under the lift. As the trail goes back into the trees and passes an intersection with Pro DH, the real Skyline fun begins.

Pump through a few big rollers before the first giant termed turn. This section helps you get a feel for how this flow trail rides - it's open and fast with plenty of opportunities to get in the air.

From here, Skyline continues with step-up and step-down jumps to a short boardwalk feature. This is a transition to a flatter section of the route that cruises out of the big trees and into a beautiful birch stand. It's fast, but a good place to catch your breath before the next section of the route.

Skyline points a little steeper downhill now. The berms are deeper and the jumps are bigger, all coming at you a little faster. This is the most fun and thrilling portion of the ride. A large right-hand termed turn will mark the transition to another mellow section that passes the bottom intersection with Pro DH. The trail is still fast through here with some playful s-turns.

After Skyline bisects a few ski runs, it dives back into the forest for an exciting finale. The route bangs through a series of quick turns and short descents, crosses a creek and then careens down to the bottom of the Western Territories lift.
