Description

Challenging ride with lots of tight technical sections. Never really gather any speed. Tough climbs are worth the view of the water you get at top. All trails are well marked. Get a trail map at dnr.state.md.us/publiclands…

Getting forecast...

This might be in the top 5 best trails in MD and hardly anyone goes there. Next to Gambrill, it's the toughest 8.5 mile loop around. Steep climbs, tight switchbacks, rocks and roots, big logovers and tight undulating topography. 1440' elevation change in the loop. The trail along the cliffs has incredible views of the Chesapeake. Locals don't ride here in the summer due to chiggers in the grass. Wait until the leaves fall and the views of the bay are 2nd to none. Nov 21, 2015
