“An old service road that provides easier and quicker access to the singletrack trails.

Plum Creek Road bisects the park so it provides an access point to several other trails in the system. It can be useful in creating different loops or linking your favorite trails. The trail will begin at the information kiosk at the intersection of Plum Creek, Family Trail
, and Direct Route
Continue climbing and you'll find even more trail intersections that provide connectors to the Notch Trail
and the Overlook Trail
to your right and finally quick, fun connector to The Horse Trail
on your left. In another half mile, the Overlook Trail
will branch off in the form of doubletrack and then it is a short downhill to the Scary Stump, marked with a sign depicting the beginning of the Chase Forest.
At this point, you can continue up Plum Creek or hang a left at the Scary Stump and connect to the Horse Trail
. If you choose to continue you'll be met with a shallow, 400m climb until you hit the final Horse Trail
connector on your left.
Keep enjoying the easy climb for another quarter mile and you'll find the entrance to the Chase Trail
on your left. If you continue the trail will briefly drop a few feet and then begin a long climb (1.5 miles) to the other end of the Chase Trail
and ultimately the Chase Overlook if you're interested.
