Description

This trail is pretty easy, but fun. There is one small rock garden that needs some work as the flooding river created some big holes in it.

The River Trail starts on the back side of the pond in Barboursville Park and runs along the river to the sanitary lift station/railroad crossing on Peyton Street. There is parking at both ends so it really doesn't matter which way you ride it. Watch out for hikers and horses as this is a heavily traveled trail.

Just getting the hang of this site/app, but this trail is good for beginners. There is a spot where the trail was washed out, and so be careful.

Frozen ground on trail. Great conditions. 1 tree down across trail near beginning. Easy beginner's trail with two somewhat technical sections.

This trail is good for beginners, like myself. Just have to watch for horse riders and the river bank! It gets close, and if you aren't familiar with the trail you could end up swimming. ***There is one area where the bank washed out, and the trail was rerouted. If not spotted, this hole could cause serious injury. *** 3 days ago
