Overview

Riding the Solstice Way ski trail is not permissible during ski business hours (8am-4pm November through mid-April).

Description

From the 1st Run ski & ride shop, head through the Village toward the flagpole circle turning right onto the pedestrian path parallel to the Stratton Access Road. Continue until the path appears to end, then immediately right into the woods for a fun, off-piste grind up to the "bridge in the woods".

Cross the bridge, then down into the TreeTops condo complex. Continue up TreeTops Rd until it begins to arc to the right. Here, look to your left and cross The Way ski trail toward the doubletrack dirt road. Exit the dirt road, turning right onto Sunbowl Ridge Rd for .1 mile. At your first opportunity, duck to the left onto the Solstice Way ski trail and let it fly for a flowy, 5-minute descent toward the SunBowl. Ride past the SunBowl lodge then past the Nordic Center (both on your right). At the intersection with Mountain Rd, take a left, then your next left onto the Stratton Access Rd. A bit of a climb back up to the Village, but don't forget to take a quick left off the pedestrian path ... if you've found the Tamarack lift to your left, you're in the right place! Ride back to the base area, under the clock tower, and to your destination at 1st Run.
