Arguably Mt. Ascension's best loop.

Overview

Dirt singletrack winds through Mt. Ascension, climb the switchback on the way up and come down the Entertainment Trail to Archery Range Trail. Can also be connected with the Rodney Ridge, Rent Money area via the Davis Gulch cutoff trail.

Description

From the Beattie Street parking lot, head up the singletrack. Several trails deviate from the main trail, but if you follow the signed routes you can't get lost. The best route is to take the switchbacks up the face and then enjoy the longer singletrack down the backside of Mt. Ascension to the Archery Range Trail. As with most Helena trails, there are many options for different routes.
