Description

It starts off FR10 where you must open, go through, then close a barbed wire cattle gate. Blast downhill until you intersect with a doubletrack road. You can go left or right on the doubletrack dirt road.

Going right involves some very intense climbing, and eventually dumps you into the Sierra Los Pinos neighborhood. But, if you turn LEFT and follow that road, it's a fun, flowy ride that ends at the Jemez River less than 100 yards from the Jemez Falls.

Recommended route: Park at the Sierra Los Pinos Fire Station, climb FR10, descend this trail, then turn LEFT onto the doubletrack road, hug the cliffs on your left until you end up at the Jemez River. If you cross the river, you can then get on East Fork Trail and ride down to Battleship Rock (you'll likely want to shuttle back), or at the river trails, you can explore, then take Ashley Ln (dirt road) back to the Fire Station where you parked.
