“A good climb on the Historic Babylon Trail overlooking LaVerkin City.”
— Edward-Bam Lopez
Start from the bottom of Grapevine
Wash & quickly join the creek as the trail cuts through the rock of East Reef. Shortly after entering the narrow sandstone slot, about 200 feet from the trailhead on the left side, about 10 feet up, there are petroglyphs on the sandstone.
Then, in about 1/3 of a mile, you'll do several creek crossings & at mile 2, you'll hit the toughest part of the climb as the pitch gets steeper & a little more technical. Although the trail has a gradual climb, there are 2 very steep sections.
