The section through the disc golf course is generally closed during the summer and daylight hours. We share that with them on race days only.

Overview

I think what makes the school forest trails interesting is that they are very close to town. The entire trail system is a mile and a half from the beach at Lake Michigan. And the trails were created by the shoreline cycling club.

Description

Park downtown by the bike shop and restaurants and ride the 1.5 miles to the corner of Tinkham and Sherman, jump in there and go about 200 yards east until you come to an intersection where one of the choices is singletrack. All of the trails are shared-use. So be aware of hikers and runners. The singletrack is mostly bikers and the wider trails are hiking. But we share.
