Galbraith Mountain is privately owned but trails are created and maintained by WMBC. Galbraith is open to non-motorized users except for hunting and fishing. The area is an ongoing site for logging operations so visitors should be on the lookout for temporary trail closures. Trails are multi-use; expect traffic in both directions and yield to hikers and equestrian users.
Candy splits off of Family Fun Center
just before the bridge creek crossing. The majority of the trail is a mellow to moderate climb with infrequent obstacles. However, the first portion of the trail displays a harder outer shell with plenty of roots and tricky corners. Once past RD 1240, Candy assumes a relaxed demeanor, except for the occasional spurt of climbing, en route to RD 2600.
