This is a high bear activity area in summer due to proximity of Campbell Creek.

Description

Brown Bear trail and this south end of Black Bear trail make a nice loop. The north end of Black Bear trail is smoother and wider. The south end, which is narrower and has more roots, makes a few crossings of cross country ski trails (the ski trails are pretty wide and smooth by comparison), so just proceed straight through all of those intersections.

Some nice roots in the middle of a steep-ish section of Brown Bear. One of many such examples on this short trail.
