Description

The Kitchen Sink Loop is our big boy for the trail system. Over 3 miles of up and down, super flowy backsides, an old junk yard, house foundation, and Nikks Big Banana. When people ride this, they will get to the bottom and say, "Man I cant wait to do this entire trail again!"

Kitchen Sink starts off of Up & Out Loop. Hang a right and head up the side of the mountain. It looks horrible, but once you get to the top youre flowing all the way to the 3D climb. Climb that and youll be on your way to some really flowy, well thought out trails and enjoy the wildlife while youre up there. You'll encounter Deer and Squirrels so make sure youre paying attention. Head on that trail and youll end up at the Old Access Road. Climb the top of the Access Road, and make sure you ride the old House Foundation.

Youll hit some really fast and flowy spots until you get to the old junkyard part. Watch your tires; youre in an old junk yard. You have 2 more small, but lung busting climbs before you hit the descent. Hit those 2 and youre coasting all the way to the bottom. Dont be afraid of Nikks Big Banana, everybody loves riding it. Get to the bottom where you'll meet up with the Up & Out Loop. Ride that back to the parking area!

PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION The Montour Area Recreation Commission (MARC) has announced a temporary closure of the trail network at the Hopewell Park/Danville Borough Farm property. Trails will be closed to all mountain bikers and other non-hunting trail users from Monday, December 1, through Saturday, December 13 – excluding Sunday, December 7 – to avoid conflicts with the regular antlered and antlerless deer seasons. Bob Stoudt, MARC Director, explained “we’ve been very pleased with how well the new trail system has been received. Bikers, hikers, hunters and other users have been able to share the site since the trails opened in September, but the regular deer seasons present a much greater potential for dangerous accidental conflicts. Though the trails will be open to all on Sunday, December 7, the trails will be closed to all users except hunters on the other days during this period.” Media Contact: Bob Stoudt, MARC Director – (570) 336-2060 or MontrRec@ptd.net Nov 26, 2014

The trails are now opened full time until the last Saturday in April. Thanks for understanding. Dec 17, 2014
