Flowy, rolling singletrack that makes a nice extension to the Swampy Loop.

Description

Take the north side of this trail east for a rolling, sometimes rocky, descent to Swede Shelter where you have some great views of Broken Top and South Sister across Tumalo Canyon.

Then, after nearly making a U-turn, the southern leg of the trail (Swede Ridge Loop) returns you to the Swampy Loop on a slightly less rocky ascent through some pretty coniferous forest.

Take a left when you reconnect with the Swampy Loop to head back to the parking area.

Downhill. Some of it cut into sandy hillside; some techy rock gardens. Lots of fun.
