Overview

[overview]

Description

From Jasper Ridge Brewery Trailhead parking lot, exit lot from north entry/exit turn left and follow red Malton Loop signs. After crossing US 41 at stoplight, take immediate left after railroad overpass, several trails enter at this point, follow red arrows. Trail is now singletrack for the next mile, quite rocky and rooty!

The trail enters an open area, follow 4-wheeler trail up a significant hill, trail becomes black top, follow signs as trail hits city streets, approximately three blocks. Trail returns to singletrack to right of Third St. guardrail. Follow singletrack for next 1 1/2 miles, trail intercepts blacktop Malton road, turn left and follow road for 250 feet. The trail exits the road to the right, follow Malton signs.

In 75 feet trail splits, straight is "less technical," right leads to "more technical" and "most technical." Less technical" is fairly fast and flowy with little obstacles, "More technical" is quite rooty, rocky, and tight turns, and "Most technical" is quite rocky with some exposure. Trails merge right before the Panorama section of the trail, trail is quite technical with minor drops and a technical decent. A fantastic panoramic view at the very top! The trail returns on the "Most technical" section of the trail back to the Jasper Ridge Brewery.
