Overview
Hammer Bakker MTB route is mainly singletrack. Of the 13km, there are 300m where you ride on a gravel road. The markings are good and easy to follow.
This is an XC route built for flow and speed.
The fastest riders do it in just about 40mins, while normal riders take an hour or so. A beginner may take around an hour and a half.
The route is divided into 2 sections: short (west) and long (east). You can also chose to only ride one of the sections, if you want. They start and end the same place.
A total ride is a full short and a full long.
Need to Know
There are some natural or built in technical features.
To make sure ALL riders can ride Hammer Bakker, there is always a B-Line/Easy line, marked with a GREEN arrow. The technical lines are marked with a RED Arrow.
The green line is only slightly slower than the technical line.
Its ALWAYS a good idea to step of the bike and SEE the technical feature before you ride it, if its your first time.
