Overview

A seasonal closure around the Grazing Elk Trail allows elk and mule deer critical access to the range. Please help wildlife by respecting these closures.

Description

This is an easy trail for beginners that connects the Deer Creek Canyon trail system to other South Valley trails.

Views of the Dakota and Lyons hogbacks as well as red sandstone formations make the ride enjoyable.

Most of Grazing Elk is closed now so you end up on Deer Creek Canyon road back to the trail. No problem, just shortened right now.
