Be cautious at the first trail junction after starting out on this trail - there is a hiking only (no bikes allowed) Burro Trail that splits off to the right. The junction, like most others in the park, is well signed so take a moment to verify that you are on the correct trail.

Description

If riding Mountain Lion in the clockwise direction (which you most definitely should be!), you can access this trail by taking a hard, 130 degree right turn shortly after the rocky mayhem in the creek bed subsides.

The trail starts off with a very steep climb on wide trail that narrows as you go. It is characterized by loose rocks and soil. At the top of this pitch, you'll need to keep left at a junction. Shortly thereafter, keep right onto a service road (which is Burro Trail at that point) and head downhill to continue on Burro Trail or to link back to Mountain Lion.
