Description

The Ridge Loop is the first loop off of the main Sylaward Lime Trail. Like most of the loops at Lake Howard, it is mostly just fast, rolling singletrack. This loop runs along a ridge jutting out into the lake, with occasional views of the lake. It drains well and the trail surface is mostly natural with some sand and gravel mixed in to keep it dry, even after heavy rains.

Some spots are slightly eroded, with some exposed roots and larger rocks, but nothing difficult. There are no sustained climbs on this loop but there is enough climbing to keep you pedaling with matching descents to keep it fun.
