Description

Tramway connects Road 543 to The Colorado Trail, but there is no reason to include it on your ride at Buffalo Creek. It's a very steep, rocky, and rooty fire road, and there are several much better singletrack choices. However, it should be included on a map, if for no other reason than the official Forest Service Trail map includes it and you might confuse it for a real trail. If you have parked at the Buffalo Creek parking area, Nice Kitty , Shingle Mill Trail , or Morrison Creek Trail 724 are your best bets for getting to the Colorado Trail.

I have no idea how someone could see this trail as "difficult" or "Steep" Put it in a low gear and have a conversation. No problem!

Not super steep. Not very rocky. Spent a half hour having a gentle conversation while my friends and I climbed back up to the Colorado Trail after going down Shingle Mill. Jun 25, 2017
I've been riding in Buffalo Creek for more than 30 years, and it's been a long time since I've ridden Tramway (10+ years). I remembered it being an unpleasant descent. Well today we tried it again, now that I have a full suspension bike, and it was very pleasant and beautiful. A touch tougher than some other BC descents, and rocky at the top - but we had a great time. Try it! Oct 1, 2017
