“A well maintained rail trail along the Quinapoxet River.”
— JB Lowell
Popular trail for walkers, joggers and cyclists. Well maintained stone dust surface is easily rideable, even with a road bike. This trail passes the ruins of the Springdale Mill, which has self-guiding signs explaining how the factory operated when the New England textile industry thrived.
This segment of the Mass Central Rail Trail is part of a 26 mile route made up of 7 segments. Several segments require a short ride on public roads to get from one to the next segment.
