Steep but technically easy connection between singletrack options

Nick Wilder

Overview

You'll need a CO Parks and Wildlife pass to park a vehicle. Day passes are self-pay and cost $7 (cash-only).
Dogs: Leashed

Description [Suggest Changes]

Though easy in a non-technical sense, beginners may not love the steep aspect of this trail. Not much to this one though. It's a simple dirt road passing through pine and aspen forests with nice views. Connects Snowshoe Hare to Mountain Lion.

This is a lousy trail. It's okay for climbing (though steep) and it a fast descending but it is wide rough fire road and while you can hit 30+ mph on it, you will forever be thinking that there must be better ways to loose of this elevation for the effect spent climbing... Aug 8, 2017
