A longer XC route for Snow Summit Lifts.

MTB Project Staff

Overview [Suggest Changes]

This section of Skyline has a lot more flow compared to the more western sections, mostly downhill with a few short, semi-tech climbs. It provides a longer route down than the resort trails. Access can vary slightly depending on Snow Summit but it is easy to find. Also can take Pirates to connect to this trail from top of lifts.

Description [Suggest Changes]

To start this ride, head towards Party Wave trail, then continue past towards Skyline, make a left then right on the fire-road and look for the connector to Skyline trail. Take Skyline Trail singletrack east to the Fern Trail TH, take Fern down to Bristlecone Dr, then cruise back to the lifts.

Fern Trail is pretty rough going down and would turn into a black diamond and requires lots of skill. Can be a rude awaking when coming down 2N10 which is very mellow. The trail starts with a very steep and rock garden obstacle followed by some downed trees at another steep grade. its a blast if you have experience. if you are not ready for that just continue down skyline road (2N10) and you come right onto clubview and follow the road back la placida and than to Switzerland to get back to lift.
