Description

Beginning at the Spruce Creek trailhead, Spruce Creek Road connects the Spruce Creek Trail to the Burro Trail, the Wheeler Trail, and the Mohawk Lakes trailhead at the upper end of the road.

From the Wheeler Trail junction, Spruce Creek Road can be used to connect to Crystal Lakes Road.

The 4-wheel drive roadway is a rocky grind, but provides loop ride opportunities between the adjacent trails.

From US Highway 9 and the intersection of Boreas Pass Road at the south end of Breckenridge, drive 2 miles south to Spruce Creek Road on the right. It's the first right turn after a large lake, the Goosepasture Tarn. Follow Spruce Creek Road through a left, then a right switchback. Go straight for a mile to the winter trailhead.
