Best between October and April due to sand and lack of shade.

Description

This is a classic desert ride in a deep canyon. The trail runs through Reynolds Canyon's high ryolite walls along an old ditch built in the early 1900s. The ditch was supposed to bring water to Givens Hot Springs, but filled with sand within the first year, making it unusable. The trail makes use of the ditch and can have some serious dropoffs in many sections. When in doubt walk, since it can be a long way down. The trail is also very technical in sections so excellent bike control is a must.

Since this is horse country, there are a number of faint side trails. Follow the bike tracks and signs and you'll be fine.

The main parking area has restrooms and maps and is a great place to start this ride. Combine this ride with Bingo and Northwest Passage for a nice long loop.

Good trail for those who love some exposure, creek sounds, the gorgeous view, and squeezing the derailleur between rocks.
