To access the trail, head south from Libby on US Highway 2. Turn left onto Farm-to-Market Rd. Shortly after crossing Libby Creek, turn left onto Swede Mountain Road (Forest service Road 533). Follow FR 533 for approximately 5-6 miles to the junction with FR 536. Turn left and begin the trail.
This marked bike trail follows FR 536, which is partially closed to vehicle traffic. The marked trail begins at the junction of FR 533 and FR 536. Turn left onto FR 536 and follow the mile markers (with bike symbol) to end on the paved Haul Road. The ride traverses several darinages east of Libby, MT, affording incredible views of the Libby valley and Cabinet Mountains.
The ride can be done as a shuttle or full loop with multiple start/endpoint options.
Moderately steep. Uneven terrain with small rocks or roots.
Sizable rocks & roots. Steep sections.
Steep. Some technical terrain and limited alternate lines.
Very steep. Technical terrain with no alternate lines.
