Family Friendly Good intermediate trail for the older kids, though there are some technical features that can be challenging.

No longer closed for land issues, open for public use.

Description

Illinois Creek is a must to bypass Boreas Pass Road to/from either the Blue River Trail or the bottom of Aspen Alley.

The trail is a little technical in the middle section. There is a fork near the midpoint of the trail with Illinois Creek the eastern fork and Southside Trail the western. Either option returns to the ice rink and parking lot.
