A trail system developed around a local boy scout camp.”
— Michael Hagen
This is a great trail if you are in the Texarkana area. Every time I visit I hit up this trail. It's challenging and they are always working on it so new sections are constantly popping up. There are some challenging climbs that are short, but well rewarded with great flowing singletrack and nice downhill sections.
Park out in front of the camp off to the left when you enter from Tennessee Rd. You'll see a green sign that says MTB sign in. Go ahead and sign in and the trailhead is just left of the sign. Take the fire road about 30 feet and the trailhead is on the left. Look for white signage with red arrows for the direction to go.
Every intersection flows well you'll not be doubling back at any point. i.e. if you come out of the trail onto a fire road veering to the left the next sign will be ahead. If you have to change direction you are doing it wrong.
History & Background
These trails started as access for the Boy scouts between the cabins and various events that take place around the camp.
