Description

Priest Lake, for all its potential, has very little mountain bike singletrack. This trail, starting at Outlet Campground, and ending at Hills Resort offers a steep and *somewhat* fun singletrack.

From Outlet Campground, the Woodrat Trail is clearly marked. It's a hearty climb up to the top along a very loamy and soft singletrack. There are some fun descents and then another STEEP uphill that is nearly impossible to ride up, but worth it once at the top. The last 1.5 miles to the trail marker at Hills is fun and flowy. There's a second trail about a mile from Hills called Bulldog trail that will add 3 miles to this loop.

All trails are clearly marked. Stay on Woodrat Trail and you won't get lost.

Overall, the steep is too steep for anything but hike-a-bike, but it's a workout and nice to see some singletrack at Priest.

Great trail, linked it with another different trail for the return Trip. John snapped his chain like an idiot. 13mi — 3h 00m
