“The Southern connector for all of the downhill trails.”
— Kaylin Bradley
Plateau Trail meanders through grassland on the Cypress plateau, and aspen and lodgepole pine forests. This dirt trail has a few roots and flowy sections on it and is the connector that joins Horseshoe Canyon Trail
, Beaver Creek Trail
, Mitchell Creek Trail
and Mystery Trail
When coming from Horseshoe Canyon Trail
toward Beaver Creek Trail
, it is fast, fun and flowy; when coming from Mystery Trail
towards Beaver Creek Trail
, it requires quite a bit of spinning up to Ferguson Hill Road, which is the last thing you want after climbing Mystery Trail
, but the reward is well worth it.
This trail does run right by the Tom Trott Forestry Museum, which may be worth a stop to check out if you never have. Admission is free; it's simply an outdoor, self-guided tour.
