Getting forecast...

A very tight, twisty and technical trail system.

Overview

This ride covered Mulligan before the RR Trestle and Deception (being the longest) after the RR Trestle, then a section of the paved walkway from the end of Deception back to the Sports Complex.

Description

Park near the skate park at the Brushy Creek Sports Complex. Head south between the ball fields and disk golf course. Turn right onto the paved walkway, towards the RR Trestle. As soon as you cross over the creek, look for "Mulligan" to your left. At the end of Mulligan, turn left onto the walkway and go under the RR trestle. Shortly after the RR trestle, look for "Deception" to your left.

Deception is about 6 miles long and is packed in tight with lots of turns and switchbacks, with lots technical features that increase the further you ride. Deception ends at a gravel doubletrack. Turn right on the gravel doubletrack and follow it down hill to the paved walkway. Turn right and follow the walkway back to the sports complex.

From Dallas and this is my go to trail when visiting in Austin. Nov 29, 2014
Wow! Being from Wisconsin, this is a change. Loved the tight single track and the challenge of this trail. Had to hike a bikesome on the last third of the trail, especially to get up some of the big rocks. Sep 25, 2015

As of late 2017 it seems like 'Deception' has been 'broken' into 3 parts '1/4' Notch', 'Double Down' and 'Rim Loop' see the pic of the sign I took. This was my first time out here and I had a blast, very technical features in those '3' Nov 4, 2017
