A tight trail with a few steep, quick climbs and downs that can be made more intense with speed.

Karen Brown Effner

Overview

State park pass is required for entry and can be purchased at the park. Mountain bikers are asked to use the entrance off of eight mile. Trail closes for the spring thaw.

Description

About 5.75 miles of forested trail in northwestern Wayne county. The short steep climbs will get your blood pumping, but easy enough for a beginner to conquer. There are natural rock and root obstacles and a couple of man made log obstacles that are easily avoided for beginners. This is a very popular trail due to its proximity to metro Detroit and is therefore very well maintained with downed trees being cleared within a day or two.

Good trail for the area. Singletrack for all skill levels. A few fun/flow spots. 7.5mi — 0h 55m

Snapped chain about halfway through but it's an easy walk back with the main trail right there. 2.5mi
