Starting from the South Parking lot, this loop highlights the best of FATS, hitting Brown Wave
which are both super-flowy.
If it has rained within a week or two, expect standing water at the bottom of the whoop-de-do's. Layers of pine needles litter the trail, so it makes it a little slippery.
FATS is marked very well with signs and blazing. You start out at the south parking lot and take a connector trail. Follow the signs to Brown Wave
. Both of these trails can be taken in any direction and in any order, since they all connect back up just south of the parking lot. It's very flowy with some minimally technical sections. Short, punchy climbs with lots of opportunity for speed. Your speed determines how technical this becomes.
