A tricky technical downhill that will make less advanced riders think twice.

Jeremiah Bradshaw

Overview

Description

This is a very technical downhill. It doesn't flow well but has plenty to humble any rider. There are many features on Blackjack that will test the best of technical downhill riders. Most features have a ride around but the ride around isn't the easiest either. All features are doable though (I'm proof).

This section is not for the intermediate/beginner rider.

Choppy and broken up, but loads of good low speed tech. 'Hit Me' is narly drop to a really short landing, and 'The Strip' wouldn't be out of place...

Rode BlackJack as part of the Epic Loop. This trail is not for me!! SUPER technical and even the "ride arounds" are a challenge.

Getting forecast...

This is definitely a very challenging bit of trail. I don't think the technical/steep/tight sections on this ride have anything comparable in the front range. Jul 20, 2015

Very humbling. Even for very skilled riders, some of the main lines may seem on the over-the-top extreme end of things. Also, don't be fooled by the green or blue markings on some of the ride-arounds. It's all relative to the main line and just about all of these "easier" options still aren't the kind of thing you'd bring an intermediate or beginner rider on. Aug 28, 2017
