MTB Project Staff

Overview [Suggest Changes]

This ride starts at the EDH Library and takes advantage of the urban trails in El Dorado Hills and Folsom. It's typically ridden in the clockwise direction.
Features: -none- [Add/Remove]

Description [Suggest Changes]

Follow the trails to the EDH sign and drop down to the old golf course. Pick back up the dirt at the top of Saratoga Way and work your way down to Empire Ranch. Climb past the plastic deer and over to Siberhorn to follow the bike path to Raleys and Dike 8. Follow the trail to Wild Oaks, New York Creek and back to the library. There are many bailout options, or it can be linked with other loops in the area for a GUAR!

This route is not rideable, as far as I can tell. When you get to El Dorado Hills Blvd near Hwy 50, there is construction in the open area. The trail may have been wiped out by the earth moving equipment. In any case, it doesn't seem safe to cross the no-trespassing signs and try to find a route. Maybe I missed something though. Can somebody who has ridden this check? It was frustrating to try it and have to turn around. Feb 20, 2018

New to the area and wanted to try it out. Now I know why there are so few postings. Not worth the time. A couple of sections were fun, but overall nothing I would ride again. Not sure how to put the stars on, but I'd only give it 1. Mar 8, 2018
The route is rideable, you just need to get creative. That southwestern section has been screwed up by construction - that only happened a couple months ago, so don't blame the route-maker. Personally I'd ride past the signs and along the eastern and northern perimeter of the construction site, then link up with the singletrack on the west. This route is linking up sections of singletrack in a suburban area; some sections are going to change, so you need to look at the route as a template and go from there. There's a lot of fun sections out in the EDH area if you get adventurous.. Apr 2, 2018
