More of the BCT - a much more strenuous section of the trail

Leslie Kehmeier

Overview

Description

Start at the trailhead in Black Canyon City and go west. It's the only direction you can go. This section of the BCT ties in to the main North-South BCT trail, and this is one of the most challenging sections with long uphill pulls and long decents.

More out-and-back riding here unless you can shuttle a car to the New River Road parking lot and make it a longer (20 miles?) one-way ride.

Rode south for an hour and back. Lots of wind, but still an amazing ride! 0.8mi
